πŸ”” Silent Key: Honoring Lon Seaboldt, WS0V

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that our friend and fellow amateur radio operator, Lon Seaboldt, WS0V, has become a Silent Key, passing away two days ago in Michigan.

Lon was more than a member β€” he was a builder. As Chairman of the Board of Directors for many years, he provided steady leadership during formative times in our club’s history. He was instrumental in drafting and putting together the club’s Constitution, helping lay the foundation that continues to guide our organization today. His work ensured structure, integrity, and long-term stability for generations of operators who followed.

Lon believed in doing things the right way β€” with clarity, purpose, and commitment. The strength and continuity of this club stand in part because of the time and effort he invested.

He is survived by his daughters, Victoria Seaboldt of Osseo, Michigan, and Mary Seaboldt-Smythe of Shelby Township, Michigan; his sons, Robert β€œBob” Seaboldt of Houston and Jim Seaboldt of Thornton, Colorado; and 13 grandchildren who carry forward his legacy.

We extend our deepest prayers and condolences to his family during this difficult time.

Fair winds and following seas, Lon.
73, WS0V β€” you will not be forgotten.
