LICENSE EXAMINATIONS CONTINUE DURING GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN!

Due to the ongoing U.S. government shutdown, the FCC’s online systems (including FRN registration) are currently offline. That means some folks may not be able to get their Federal Registration Number (FRN) right now.

Here’s what to do:

  • Keep trying to get your FRN up until test time — sometimes the system comes back online briefly.

  • If you still can’t get it by test day, don’t worry! We can still test you.

  • Our Volunteer Examiners have a temporary workaround — we’ll enter zeros in place of your FRN during the session.

Once the government reopens and the FCC systems are back online, you’ll just need to go back and register for your FRN number then.

👉 Bottom line: Don’t let the shutdown stop you — come test with us anyway!
