📡 SUCCESS! Our First Beginner’s Ham Radio Class Was a Hit! 🎉
Last Tuesday night, we kicked off our Beginner’s Ham Radio Class as part of the Youth Incentive Program, and WOW—what an incredible evening! We had 28 enthusiastic attendees, eager to dive into the world of amateur radio and emergency communications.
A huge THANK YOU to Melissa Fleming from Fall River County 911 Dispatch for delivering a phenomenal presentation on the critical role ham radio plays in emergency response. Her PowerPoint said it best:
👉 “Can 911 centers really benefit from HAM radio? ABSOLUTELY!” 🚨📡
Melissa also spent time answering questions, engaging with attendees, and inspiring the next generation of communicators. Seeing our local youth take an interest in radio technology was truly rewarding!
💡 Missed this class? Don’t worry! We’re doing it again!
📅 Next Session: March 11th @ 5 PM
📍 Location: 709 Jensen Hwy. (former ambulance building)
🔗 Open to all, especially youth interested in hands-on learning and real-world radio applications!
Join us and discover why ham radio is more than just a hobby—it’s a lifesaving skill and a gateway to exciting opportunities in technology and public service.
