Proper Etiquette For Using Repeaters

Good Operating Practices For Repeaters

Leave pauses:  so others can join in your call.

Listen Before You Talk: If you just turned your radio on listen for a minute before transmitting so you do not step into an ongoing conversation..

Station Identification & Making a Call:  “This is K...O... on the .700 repeater” If someone is scanning this tells them where you are.

Roundtables:  With more than two people, make sure to send it to the next person in the group.

Nets and Emergency Net Situations:  Respect others use of the equipment. Be mindful that you are representing all Hams in a very large geographical area since our repeaters are linked countrywide. DO NOT Monopolize the repeater.
